CSUN Students Can Get Active this Summer with the SRC’s Reopening on June 1

Northridge — The Student Recreation Center (SRC) of the University Student Union is excited to announce that they will be welcoming CSUN students back to the SRC facilities starting Tuesday, June 1. This reopening of the SRC will provide students access to indoor and outdoor areas like the Total Training Zone, Plaza Pool, Turf Field and more. Get up and get moving this summer as the SRC reopens for you!

“We are so excited to be able to reopen the SRC facility to CSUN students and allow ac- cess to exercise and recreation experiences in-person,” said Kaila Lavin, SRC Director. “These safe opportunities will allow Matadors to stay active after a period of virtual-only activity.”

The SRC facilities will be open in a limited capacity to all CSUN students, continuing students, and Tseng College students. Students will be able to access the facilities by down- loading the SRC App, booking a 75 minute Personal Recreation Window, and completing a mandatory health screening. With their reopening, the SRC will also be offering some limited in-person programs and services for students, such as Group Exercise Classes, Personal Training Sessions, and more. In addition to the in-person programs and services, they willcontinue to offer a wide range of virtual opportunities including Virtual Group Exercise Classes, Virtual Personal Training, Virtual Fitness Challenges, MySwimPro App for Aquatic Exercises and Intramural eSports Tournaments. As of June 1, the SRC will be open regularly from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday to Sunday. To ensure member safety, the SRC has imple- mented enhanced cleaning procedures, mandatory health screenings and social distancing.
