FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Northridge—The Student Recreation Center is inviting all CSUN students, faculty and staff to sign up and get in the game for the Spring 2015 Intramural Sports Program. From Monday, January 12 to Wednesday, January 28, all those interested in participating can register online to compete with their friends and other Matadors in a wide variety of sports.

“Intramural sports are a great way for all participants to get involved on campus, meet new friends and challenge their skill level with a variety of fun sports,” said Kristofer Newsome, intramural coordinator “All skill levels are welcome to participate.”

To get started, just register online through IMleagues.com and choose your indoor or outdoor sport. Indoor sports include five-on-five basketball, six-on-six volleyball and dodgeball. Outdoor sports include softball and soccer. Grab your friends and sign up for a chance to be the champs.

All participants can also put their fitness to the test in a variety of exciting one-day tournaments, including the 2nd Annual Keith McElhannon Roundball Classic Tournament, which will award the winning men’s and women’s teams with an all expense paid trip to play in the NIRSA Championship Series Regional Basketball Tournament at the University of Arizona in Tucson.

If basketball isn’t your game, other fun one-day tournaments include floor hockey, four-on-four flag football and battleship.
