“American Red Cross CPR, AED and First Aid Training” at the Student Recreation Center Teaches Life-Saving Skills

What:
The Student Recreation Center (SRC) at the University Student Union (USU) invites all CSUN students, staff and faculty to a beneficial and affordable opportunity to become American Red Cross certified in CPR, AED and First Aid. These trainings will teach and certify participants the skills necessary to potentially save someone’s life.

Who:
Ryan Hairapetian, Aquatics Coordinator, is responsible for putting on this event.

When:
Select Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. this semester starting Aug. 27 and ending Dec. 3.

Where:
Location will be disclosed upon course registration.

Why:
Help participants recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing and first aid emergencies.

Background:
The cost for a one-day course is $50 per person. Participants will learn skills needed to give immediate care to a suddenly injured or ill person until more advanced medical personnel can arrive and take over.
