In Memoriam: CJS Professor Nick Zingo

Dear CJS Family,

 

I write with some very sad news this morning.  Nick Zingo passed away last night from a massive heart attack.  As it just happened, I have not talked with his wife, Chris, yet so there is not much else to say about plans for memorials.  When I know what is happening, I will certainly share that with you.  CJS will plan something for an appropriate time as well.  Nick touched all of us with his upbeat attitude, dedication to students and learning, and his seemingly boundless energy when it came to helping his colleagues.  From the start, Nick was an invaluable addition to the CJS family and left his mark on our department.  I will miss him terribly as I know we all will.
