I am a research psychologist with a vested interest in the evolutionary sciences, cognition and culture, the cognitive science of religion and experimental philosophy. My approach is broadly interdisciplinary. I use the approaches of the evolutionary and cognitive sciences to understand human thought and behavior, especially: grief, folk concepts of personal continuity and representations of the afterlife.
