The Pride Center Connects CSUN’s LGBTQ+ and Allies at “Mix N Mingle” in the University Student Union

January 19, 2018

Northridge- The Pride Center at the University Student Union (USU) invites all CSUN students, faculty and staff to start the new semester off right by making new connections within the campus LGBTQ community at its welcoming “Mix N’ Mingle” event. On Thursday, Feb. 1 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Northridge Center at the USU, this special evening will offer everyone attending a fun opportunity to create brand new friendships among like-minded individuals. Play games, win prizes, make new connections and enjoy delicious food – all for FREE!

“It is actually very common for CSUN students to have difficulty creating bonds with individuals they can relate to with a campus this big,” said Stacey Leal, Student Pride Center Events Assistant. “ ‘Mix N’ Mingle’ not only lets students network and get to know each other, but also gives them an opportunity to learn about all the resources offered by the Pride Center.”

All in attendance will have a great time making conversation with new people with some fun speed friending, as well as enjoying free vegan Vietnamese food from Vin Loi Tofu, “Minute-to-Win-it” style games, and fun party tunes in a safe and open environment.  Whether you’re a part of the LGBTQ community or an ally, you are welcome to attend and make lasting connections with other Matadors.
