Join the Pride Center in Challenging Fatphobia Together at “Fat Queer Power” with the USU

WHAT: The Pride Center of the University Student Union (USU) invites all CSUN students, faculty and staff to celebrate the power of fat bodies and the empowering work being done by influential fat LGBTQIA+ activists and during the first ever Fat Queer Power event. On Wednesday, April 21, inform yourself from a diverse panel of fat LGBTQIA+ activists and organizers about their experiences professionally and personally as fat queer people. Join us in uplifting and empowering fat LGBTQIA+ individuals while exploring ways to challenge fatphobia together, all through Zoom! 

WHO: Whitney Workman, Supervisor at the Pride Center, is responsible for coordinating this event. 

WHEN: Wednesday, April 21 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. 

WHERE: Zoom (Meeting ID: 836 4605 9927 Password: pride) 

WHY: This is a unique opportunity for all Matadors to inform themselves of the experience’s fat LGBTQIA+ activists and organizers face being fat and queer while discovering new ways to disrupt fatphobia.
