Experience a Special Week of Connection and Empowerment at “Black Queer and Trans* Pride Week

WHAT:
The CSUN Black House, WISDOM, and the Pride Center of the University Student Union (USU) are joining together to invite you to Black Queer and Trans* Pride Week. Come engage in a week full of visibility for the Black Queer and Trans* community with a series of compelling programs including “QTPOC Conversations”, “Get Ready with Me” featuring a Queer and/or Trans* Makeup Artist to share makeup tips, and a fun Black Queer and Trans* Pride March to the Black House with participating students. Celebrate this impactful week to embrace the power and beauty of intersectionality.

WHO:
Dorey Chery, Pride Center Assistant, is responsible for putting on this event.

WHEN:
Monday, Feb.24 to Thursday, Feb. 27. Times vary for each program.

WHERE:
Program locations include the Pride Center at the USU (2nd floor of Sol Center) and the CSUN Black House (18348 Halstead Street, Northridge)

WHY:
This is an opportunity for CSUN students who are a part of the Black Queer and Trans* community to feel empowered and celebrate their identities.

BACKGROUND:
All Matadors who are part of the Black Queer and Trans*community are invited to enjoy a week of engagement, healing, and empowerment during Black Queer and Trans* Week.
