Celebrate Black LGBTQIA+ Pride Month with the Pride Center

WHAT: The Pride Center of the University Student Union (USU) invites Black LGBTQIA+ CSUN students to a month-long celebration of Queer Black love at Black LGBTQIA+ Pride Month. Come engage in the many virtual events such as How You Doin’, OUT on Stage, The Lavender Takeover, Queerations, and GAYme Night. Every event will focus on the important works of the Black LGBTQIA+ community including activism, fashion, poetry, hair and love with some opportunities for allies to join. In addition, grab a chance to win some exciting giveaways from various Black LGBTQIA+ owned businesses. Join us this impactful week to embrace the power and beauty of Black queerness and transness. 

WHO: Whitney Workman, Supervisor at the Pride Center, is responsible for coordinating this event. 

WHEN: A month-long series of events from Feb. 1 to Feb. 28. 

WHERE: Zoom and Instagram. 

WHY: For CSUN students in the Black LGBTQIA+ community to feel empowered and celebrate their identities during Black History Month.
