Immigration Justice and Injustice: Why Jews Should Care
The Sixth Annual Maurice Amado Foundation Lecture on Jewish Ethics
Between 2010 and 2018, 74 people have died in U.S. immigration detention facilities, and at least 10 women miscarried due to their treatment in custody. Feminist ethicist Allison B.Wolf will explain why the Jewish community has special obligations to condemn these deaths and get involved to make them stop.
Allison B. Wolf, a San Fernando Valley native, has taught and lectured in Costa Rica, Colombia, and Argentina, and the U.S. She has published widely in feminist medical ethics, feminist comparative philosophy, and feminist immigration justice. She is currently writing a book on immigration justice in the Americas.
