Braswell was an assistant coach at Long Beach State from 1989 through 1992. He went on to become head coach at Cal State-Northridge from 1996 through 2013. He was the Big Sky Coach of the Year in 2001 and the Big West Coach of the Year in 2008 and again in 2009.
