Alvaro Rubalcaba (Vanden, Solano, Rock Hounds) of Cal State Northridge sat out his first game of the year, a 2-1 win over USC in 10 innings before playing in the season’s final two games, a 9-3 win and 8-4 loss vs. the Trojans. The former Viking batted .375 (3-for-8) in those two games with two runs a double and a stolen base, batting .232 with 35 runs, six doubles, three home runs, 14 RBIs and a team-high eight stolen bases.
