Cal State Northridge’s Matadors, as a fifth seed forced to win two games just to get to the Big West Tournament semifinals at Honda Center and then two more to win the tournament, completed the task Saturday and earned their third conference championship in six years, and the automatic NCAA berth that goes with it, with a 63-55 triumph over regular-season champion UC Davis.
