Supporting Student Success: Understanding and Helping Students | November 13

Who are our students? What are common misconceptions of the millennial student? What are recent developments in our demographics? Understanding current CSUN students, where they come from, and what their general trajectory through their tenure at the University, positions us to better guide them toward success. This session will also be a good way to help staff and faculty consider how the CSUN student today is not the student of yesterday!

Risky Business Week | November 13 - 17

2017 Latin American Film and Art Festival | November 19 - 21

The Latin American Festival takes place at California State University, Northridge from November 19 through 21, 2017. Sponsored by the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, the Department of Cinema and Television Arts, and UNAM Los Angeles. The three day event will feature films highlighting some of Latin America's most talented filmmakers.

All events are FREE of charge and open to the entire CSUN community and the general public. However space is limited so please reserve your spot by ordering your tickets at Eventbrite (this is a free service).

Matador Athletics Faculty and Staff Appreciation Series - Women's Basketball vs Weber State | November 30

The Fall 2017 Faculty & Staff Series includes six home events on campus. For attending four of the six designated games, participants will receive a #OneMatador Polo Shirt. CSUN Faculty and Staff members will receive free admission to each game and are invited to bring up to three guests.

All CSUN Faculty and Staff members are eligible to participate by checking in at each game using their CSUN ID. The Athletics Department will have a separate check-in area for participants at each venue in order to track attendance. Premium giveaway items will also be made available for each game, as applicable, at the Faculty & Staff Series check-in table.

Flu Shots Available by Appointment for Faculty & Staff @ Klotz Student Health Center

This year’s Seasonal Influenza “Flu” Vaccine (2017-18) is available  for all students, faculty, and staff of California State University, Northridge.  This season’s vaccine provides protection against four strains of influenza viruses. The cost is only $15 for students and $20 for faculty and staff.

Flu shots will be given by appointment at the Klotz Student Health Center.  To schedule your appointment please call, 818 677-3666.

Please bring your ID. Cash or check payment accepted.

*Individuals 65 and older may receive the standard flu vaccine. However, there is a “high-dose” alternative. Ask your healthcare provider for more information.  The “high-dose” vaccine is not available at the Klotz Student Health Center.
