Caitlin Sheil awarded Golden Reel Award

Caitlin Sheil with team holding awardCaitlin (Katie) Sheil, a 2012 Cinema and Television Arts (Film Production Option- Sound Skill Level) grad, was awarded a Motion Picture Sound Editors Golden Reel Award at the 60th annual awards gala. She won for Best Sound Editing: Long Form Sound Effects and Foley in Television for The Weinstein Company production SEAL TEAM SIX: THE RAID ON OSAMA BIN LADEN. Founded in 1953, Motion Picture Sound Editors (M.P.S.E.) is an honorary society of motion picture sound editors. The society's goals are to increase the recognition of sound editors and to show the artistic merit of the soundtracks. The Golden Reel is viewed as the highest honor for sound editors under the Emmy or Oscar.
