TEMPO Ensemble’s Fall 2020 concert will be a live virtual event with solo works for each of the members. Our socially distanced performance will feature winning works from our annual “Call for Scores.” Winners, Douglas Davies’ Idee Fixe for solo flute and Richard Derby’s Social Distancing for solo violin top the evening. So many other fantastic works too! Join us for a wonderful evening of contemporary music!

TEMPO (The Epicenter Musical Performance Organization), dedicated to the pursuit, performance, and perseverance of contemporary music, was formed in 2008 at California State University, Northridge by Daniel Kessner and Julia Heinen. The ensemble of flute, clarinet, violin, viola, cello, piano, and percussion consists of faculty, alumni, and friends,  all of whom share a passion for performing works from the 20th and 21st centuries.
