Comics studies has exploded over the past two decades, offering new perspectives on the aesthetics, production, reception, and cultural impact of comics art: graphic novels, manga, webcomics, comic books, comic strips, and all the myriad forms of sequential art and cartooning worldwide. In response to this surge of interest, Comics@CSUN promotes comics studies across campus. An interdepartmental collaborative, we bring together diverse faculty to brainstorm events and teaching opportunities related to all aspects of comics and the comics world. We hope to involve as many teachers and students in this initiative as possible, so please do not hesitate to reach out with questions or ideas!
