This Wednesday Civil Discourse & Social Change Initiative, along with its cosponsors, will host a screening of a documentary and speakers on the topic of formerly incarcerated women.
The documentary, When Will the Punishment End? follows the women from the gates of prison to their return to their communities and their families. The women share their stories of loss, recovery, and hope for the future.
Our guest speakers for the evening, Susan Burton and Kim Carter - featured in this film - are renowned activists on behalf of the formerly incarcerated.
