Description
Aira is committed to helping organizations build a more inclusive workplace. As we continue to innovate and collaborate with both mainstream and assistive technology partners, one thing drives us, and that is access to visual information is a right and as a right, access should be within reach of everyone. In July 2022 we introduced Aira Everywhere, addressing the needs of our customers to have access to our professional visual interpreters on a range of devices. The effort began internally with the public beta of our Aira for Desktop solution. Next we released Aira for the Envision Glasses, returning a hands-free wearable to the market. And then we brought Aira to the Blind Shell Classic 2 phone, providing access for people who prefer tactile buttons rather than a touch screen experience. Our tool is designed for broad applicability, supporting a range of skills, regardless of someone’s competence with technology. With access to professional visual interpreters on a range of devices, how do you know what will work for your employees? In this workshop we will highlight use cases from a variety of industries to demonstrate that the answer is fluid and depends on the individual employee. You will learn how Aira is a ‘ready for work’ productivity tool. By offering Aira’s visual interpreting service, your organization can create a continuum of accessibility, and support the employment lifecycle from job seeking to job accommodation to career advancement.
