Botanic Garden Prepares for the
2005 Garden Party Fundraiser

For five years, the CSUN Botanic Garden staff, and Friends of the Garden have hosted the Twilight Garden Party.  The two-acre garden becomes an ideal backdrop for a leisurely evening of sipping wine and viewing fine art.  Last year's event nearly sold out with over 400 guests, and plans are to increase attendance yet again.

The 2005 Twilight Garden Party is planned for Saturday, August 27th.  Highlights will include a showing by Botanical Artists and Scientific Illustrators, premium wine tasting, a live band, garden tours and an enticing raffle.  In 2004, the participating wineries were:  Agua Dulce Winery; Barefoot Cellars; Buttonwood Farms; Geissinger Winery; Kalyra Wines; Tantara Winery and Waltzing Bear Wines.

We are inviting you to help sponsor this worthy and popular event.  Our joined efforts to support the CSUN Botanic Garden are rewarding to the students and community members in the San Fernando Valley who access the garden for academic and recreational purposes.

In 2005, we expect guests who will range from prominent university administrators to garden society and local community members.  The local news media will also be invited, providing broadcast and print coverage to Los Angeles and Ventura counties.  Sponsors will be featured according to their levels of offering.  Please see the enclosed samples of previous event materials and press clippings.
