Vauxhall Jets’ players selected in baseball draft

Palmegiani, a third-year infielder with the Jets originally form Cloverdale, B.C., was selected in the 35th round, 1,046th overall by the Toronto Blue Jays. Palmegiani has committed to California State University, Northridge California and is currently playing with the Canadian National Junior Team. --Lethbridge Herald

Bucks Name Assistant Coaching Staff

Sullivan served as an assistant coach with Atlanta for the last four seasons. Before joining the Hawks, he worked in basketball development and as an assistant video coordinator with the San Antonio Spurs. He played collegiately at Cal-State Northridge and University of Portland, competing professionally in China, Germany and Chile following graduation. Sullivan joined the University of Portland’s coaching staff in 2009, then was an assistant coach at Lewis & Clark College in Portland before joining the Spurs. --Bucks.com

Boys basketball is the centerpiece of Saturday’s schedule, with AHS hosting games at 4 p.m. (1A/2A), 6 p.m. (3A/4A) and 8 p.m. (5A/6A). Future UNM walk-ons Anthony Chavez of Valley and Jordan Arroyo of 6A state champion Atrisco Heritage are competing, as is AHS forward Marlon Cunningham who recently signed with Division I Texas State.
