Science Video Study Guides
Science videos should be shown to teach concepts and stimulate thinking, not just for entertainment. One way to promote learning is to develop a study guide to be given prior to the showing of the video. The questions should direct student attention to the key issues that you want them to learn.
Study guides should contain: (1) Factual questions, (2) Analytical questions, (3) Open-ended or hypothetical questions with references to your associated movie play list. It is helpful it they include links to relevant images, maps, diagrams, or facts that provide the necessary context or data for your questions.
