CSUN NSF Teaching Fellowship Program
Applicants for the MTF Program must:
1)
Currently teach secondary math, ideally for more than one year.
2) Hold a California single subject
mathematics credential.
3) Have previously earned a master's degree in an area
other than
mathematics education.
4) Have earned an undergraduate GPA greater than 2.5. If the
GPA is less than 3.0, GRE scores must also be submitted; the score for at
least one section must be in the top 50th percentile.
5) Submit a copy of valid passing scores from the California Subject Examinations for Teachers (CSET) Mathematics Subject Matter
Exam Parts I-III. (If accepted to the MTF Program,
the Program will reimburse examination
fees.) CSUN is
currently hosting a FREE Preparation class for parts I and II of the
exam. GRE subject matter or Praxis exams may be used instead, with
approval of the screening committee.
