VPN Access to Equipment
- OpenVPN Configuration File: TechLab.ovpn (right click to “save link as”) You can then install it or import into your OpenVPN Client.
All equipment in the lab is remote and secured. Students are required to connect to a dedicated VPN to perform any work on the machines required for this class.
VPN username/password is your full CSUN campus email address and email password
OpenVPN Client
Students will need an OpenVPN client running on any personal machines they use to perform work for the class.
- For Windows machines I would suggest:
- OpenVPN Connect: If this is the only OpenVPN connection you will use. The “Connect” version of OpenVPN only allows a single OpenVPN connection but it also handles the username/password a little more automatically.
- OpenVPN Community: If you need to connect to more than one OpenVPN server in your life. This client allows multiple simultaneous OpenVPN connections. It will also nag you every ten minutes to confirm your username and password.
- For Mac I would suggest
- OpenVPN Connect: Same features/use as the Windows version.
