CSUN Celebrates the Classes of 2019-20 and 2020-21

In an event unlike anything in its history, CSUN celebrated two graduating classes on May 15. U.S. Sen. Alex Padilla was the commencement speaker at the ceremony honoring the classes of 2019-20 and 2020-21. CSUN is holding a series of celebrations for the students whose commencements were impacted by COVID-19.

Michael Eric Dyson Discusses Today’s Issues at CSUN, LA Times Event

CSUN partnered with the Los Angeles Times for a conversation with Michael Eric Dyson, one of the country’s premier intellectuals and the bestselling author of “JAY-Z” and “Tears We Cannot Stop.” In a discussion with moderator and Times columnist Erika D. Smith, Dyson spoke on racism, police reform, technology, cancel culture and more.

CSUN Opera Puts on Immersive Show with Augmented Reality

The CSUN Opera’s newest effort is an online opera performance created with augmented reality, which allowed the company to breathe new life into the characters of Maurice Ravel’s “L’enfant et les sortilèges.” The pre-recorded performance can be watched on YouTube.
