Nazarian College Bull Ring Winner Gets ‘Fast and Furious’

Race car wings are usually custom-designed. The Synergy Active Aero team designed one that adapts to driving conditions, making it suitable for numerous types of cars. This idea earned the $5,000 grand prize in the 2021 CSUN Nazarian College Bull Ring New Venture Competition. Four student teams split $10,000 in total prizes in the “Shark Tank”-style competition.

 
 
 
 
 
 

BTS Conference at CSUN Draws Online Attendees from 39 Countries

The sensationally popular South Korean band BTS was the inspiration behind a virtual conference at CSUN that combined academics and fun, as the group’s music was a window into a wide range of topics — from choreography to social justice activism. More than 1,400 people from 39 different countries attended.

CSUN Receives Nearly $3M Grant to Support Students in the Biomedical Sciences

CSUN has been awarded nearly $3 million from the National Institutes of Health to support students studying the biomedical sciences with an eye on eventually earning a Ph.D. The five-year grant will support Undergraduate Research Training Initiative for Student Enhancement (U-RISE), led by biology professor MariaElena Zavala.
