Valley Transit Summit Solidifies Support of CSUN Transportation Priorities

Imagine this: The original Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ on the big screen, with a score composed and performed by Stewart Copeland of The Police and accompanied by the Pacific Orchestra — led by distinguished alumnus conductor Richard Kaufman. These elements will come together under one roof on March 16 at CSUN’s VPAC.

CSUN’s Innovative Mobile App Competition: AppJam

When creative director David Reichelt ’13 (Theatre) worked on the development of his popular game application Color Switch, he had no background in coding. With a 4.5-star rating on iTunes and more than 5 million downloads, the addictive app has made it to the No. 2 game spot in the AppStore. On March 3, Reichelt spoke at the AppJam kickoff event at CSUN about turning weaknesses and disabilities into advantages, and motivated students from all majors to participate in this month’s AppJam competition.

2016 Outstanding Senior Award

The Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs is accepting nominations for the Outstanding Senior Award. Four students will receive an award of $1,000 each in recognition for academic excellence, service to community and campus, and exceptional achievement or personal life circumstances that have been overcome. Winners will be presented at the Honors Convocation on Friday, May 20.

Interested in organic gardening and composting? Associate Professor Mario Giraldo will take you on a tour of CSUN’s organic garden and food composting operation and provide tips along the way. This workshop is sure to provide gardening inspiration.

Come learn about ways you can tailor your workstation to better fit your body’s needs. An environmental and health specialist will discuss how small modifications to your workspace can make a big difference in how you feel.
