Clear the Air! CSUN Becomes a Smoke- and Tobacco-Free Campus

Starting Aug. 19, CSUN will become smoke and tobacco free to promote a healthier environment for students, faculty and staff to learn, work and live. CSUN’s new policy aims to clear the air from harmful tobacco smoke within the campus community.

President’s Annual Fall Welcome Address, Aug. 20

CSUN President Dianne F. Harrison will give her fourth annual Fall Welcome Address, which will include a review of the campus’ past year’s accomplishments, as well as a look at the year ahead. The event will take place at the Valley Performing Arts Center at 9 a.m., followed by a reception with light refreshments.

Two Additional Information Sessions on CSU Background Check Policy, Aug. 20 and 21

On Aug. 3, the new CSU systemwide policy on background checks became effective, requiring all new employees (and a number of other positions) to complete a background check prior to starting employment. The Office of Human Resources is offering information sessions.
