Dir. Anita Rocha Da Silveira Portuguese with English subtitles With Special Guest: Director, Anita De Silver “Kill Me Please” chronicles the summer exploits of a group of teenage girls as they become morbidly captivated by a wave of gruesome murders in their upper-middle-class neighborhood of Barra da Tijuca in Rio de Janeiro. The most fascinated is Bia (Valentina Herszage), whose own sexual discoveries evolve alongside the mounting deaths. Da Silveira demonstrates masterful control over a complicated tonal and aesthetic palette, boasting fine contributions from all her collaborators, with visual and sonic elements equally highly worked. | |
