Winter Break Closure
The Fall 2015 Academic Semester officially ends on Tuesday, December 22, 2015. The University will be closed Friday, December 25, 2015 through Friday, January 1, 2016, reopening on Monday, January 4, 2016.
Thursday, December 31st is not a covered holiday; eligible employees may charge their accrued leave time such as vacation, Personal Holiday, or, when eligible, Compensatory Time Off. Employees may also elect to take leave without pay on this day. Other provisions may also apply for some of our union partners; please see the relevant collective bargaining agreement for further information.
Dec. 31st Pay Warrant Pick-Up
Employees who do not participate in Direct Deposit and want to pick up their pay warrant during the campus closure are required to complete and submit the Pay Warrant Pick-Up Request form to University Cash Services - Bayramian Hall Room 100 (or Mail Drop 8214) by December 18, 2015. Employees who do not submit this form WILL NOT be able to pick up their pay warrant on December 31, 2015.
Open Enrollment Update
If you made any changes during Fall 2015 Open Enrollment, your new plan(s) and premium should be reflected on your December 31st pay warrant. Please compare the 2016 Health Plan Rates and deductions on your pay warrant and report any discrepancies to your Benefits Representative.
Mailing Address & W-2 Forms
W-2s will be issued in January by the State Controller's Office and mailed to the address on record in the CSUN portal as of close of business, Friday December 4, 2015. If your mailing address has changed, please go online today and update your records through the myNorthridge portal.

CSUN Holiday Celebration
Don't forget to RSVP to President Dianne F. Harrison and the Cabinet's invitation for you and a guest to join them at the 2015 CSUN Holiday Celebration at the Valley Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
The evening will feature a showcase of CSUN Karaoke talent, dancing, hors d’ oeuvres and desserts, a special holiday photo booth, and much more.
Additionally, in the spirit of sharing the warmth this holiday season, we are doubling our ways to give. Volunteers will be on hand and will be accepting new, unwrapped donations to include blankets, socks, sweaters, jackets and sleeping bags on behalf of MEND and new, unwrapped toys on behalf of the San Fernando Valley Rescue Mission.
Giving Tuesday - December 1, 2015
CSUN will be partnering with the on-campus organization Unified We Serve; community group MEND (Meet Each Need with Dignity); and The San Fernando Valley Rescue Mission. Unified We Serve will collect canned food goods, the San Fernando Valley Rescue Mission will collect gently worn clothing and MEND will collect unopened toys, especially those for children ages 10-14. CSUN All Sports Day - December 5, 2015
CSUN Athletics will host an All Sports Day event for children in grades first through eighth. Participants will be led through baseball, soccer, basketball, volleyball and (dry land) water polo mini-clinics by CSUN student-athletes. The children will participate in a pre-game pep rally featuring Matty the Matador and the Matador Band and receive dinner.( details)
