Scientific and Mathematical Editors
(1) Equation Editors: Use a mathematics word processor such as Math Type or Equation Editor to generate the following equations. Submit a final printout. You may find additional useful equations at the Equation and Constant Page.
(A) From the integral tables:
(B) Theoretical Calculation of Equilibrium Constants:
(C) Rate Law for free radical mechanism:
(D) Newton's second law applied to transverse motion of a string:
(E) Fourier series f(x):
(2) Molecular Modeling
Download a program such as iMole for OS-X or Chime for Windows that can read pdb files. Download, view, edit and label molecules. Include a printout of five or more molecules and discuss how this software may be used in the science or math curriculum.
