Annual Benefits Open Enrollment | September 12 - October 7, 2016

Open Enrollment will take place between Monday, September 12th and Friday, October 7th.  Beginning this year, adding or making changes to your benefits as part of Open Enrollment will be an online process via the eBenefits module in the CSUN portal.

If you anticipate making an election during Open Enrollment, you must complete the eBenefits Self-Service Electronic Signature Authorization form.  You may access the form at: http://www.csun.edu/sites/default/files/eBenefits-Self-Service-Electronic-Signature-Authorization.pdf

Visit the Benefits Administration website in early September for information and 2017 health plan rates. 

CSUN's Annual Benefits & Wellness Fair | September 20, 2016

Join us on Tuesday, September 20th between 9 and 11 am in the Student Recreation Center for our annual Benefits and Wellness Fair. Benefit Plan representatives as well as several of our internal campus partners will be present to answer your questions.  Join us for free health screenings, giveaways, and plenty of information to assist you with your Open Enrollment selections.  You can view an up to date listing of providers and partners that will be in attendance at http://www.csun.edu/benefits/benefits-and-wellness-fair.  We look forward to seeing you there!

Tax Sheltered Annuity 403(b)

 As of April 1, 2016 Fidelity Investments is the sole service provider for the California State University Tax Sheltered Annuity Program. These changes are designed to improve efficiencies and savings for participants. The Standard Insurance: Special Enrollment Offer during Open Enrollment Period

The CSU provides Basic Life, Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D), and Long Term Disability (LTD) to eligible employees. For existing members during this Open Enrollment period, The Standard Insurance will allow you the opportunity to enroll or increase Supplemental Life insurance up to $100,000 (employee only) coverage, if you haven’t been declined prior, without medical evidence. Some additional components of the plan contain travel assistance, portability of insurance, funeral arrangements, identify theft prevention and estate planning. Come learn about this special enrollment period and other benefits available by joining us September 21, 2016  from 10-11:00 AM or 1:00 - 2:00 PM in Oviatt 16. Special Benefits Message to Faculty Appointed Less Than Full-Time

If you are a new part-time faculty member or returning faculty and are benefits eligible for the Fall semester, we invite you to click here and view information on plan options, eligibility, and how to enroll. Benefits Packets are also available in the Office of Human Resources, UN 165.

To be eligible for benefits, part-time faculty must have an Academic Year (AY) classification and have an appointment of at least six units (.4 time base) for one semester.

Faculty currently enrolled in Medical/Dental/ Vision benefits or FlexCash who fall below six units should notify Benefits Administration regarding continuation of coverage. COBRA coverage may be available. For information on COBRA please visithttp://www.csun.edu/benefits/cobra.
