Manager Exchange | Developing Genuine & Beneficial Relationships | November 28

Manager Exchange, MaNEx for short, is a unique development opportunity for CSUN’s Management Plan Personnel (MPPs) and Department Chairs from across campus to gather and participate in the discussion and exploration of a management topic, as presented by a CSUN administrator or guest.  Join us!

This particular session and topic is intended to reinforce the CSUN Leadership Principle of “Collaborative” and generate a discussion of what it means to the attendees and how they see themselves and fellow and future colleagues successfully demonstrating this quality.  What are the personal and institutional challenges they face in “being” collaborative internally with their team(s) and externally with campus colleagues and community constituents - and how can this be rectified?  We'll discuss the benefits of being collaborative and of developing such relationships.

Developing Genuine & Beneficial Relationships

Wednesday, November 28, 2018 - 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Facilitated by: Colin Donahue, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Administration & Finance
Location: Human Resources Training Room, Oviatt Library 16, Garden Level

Registration and attendance to this session is limited to MPP administrators and Department Chairs.

Health Care Dependent Re-Verification Requirement

Dependent Re-Verification (DRV) is the process of re-verifying the eligibility of your spouse, domestic partner, children, stepchildren, and domestic partner children (family members) enrolled for state health and dental benefits. Government Code section 22843.1 mandates re-verifying the eligibility of your family members. Government Code section 22959 authorizes extending this review to your family members enrolled for dental benefits.

The eligibility of your family members will be re-verified once every three years. The re-verification period is based on your birth month. Employees born during the following months are required to re-verify family members during 2019:  February, May, August and November.

For those employees with birthdays in February, CalPERS will mail you a letter in November 2018 explaining the process and the documentation required to maintain health coverage for your dependents. Please read and ensure Human Resources has your documents prior to February 1, 2019 in order for your dependent(s) to continue receiving health coverage and avoid cancellation on 03/1/2019.
