PDF Scanned & OCR | March 4

Description: This training will cover the fundamentals of Adobe Acrobat scanned documents and Optical Character Recognition (OCR). Participants will learn to utilize the scan tool to conduct an OCR document and provide selectable text. PDF Tools is recommended before taking this session.

The Spring 2020 Faculty & Staff Series includes eight home events on campus. For attending four of the eight designated games, participants will receive a CSUN Athletics pullover or sweatshirt.

CSUN Faculty and Staff members will receive complimentary admission to each game and are invited to bring up to three additional guests. All CSUN Faculty and Staff members are eligible to participate by checking in at each game using their CSUN ID. The Athletics Department will have a separate check-in area for participants at each venue in order to track attendance. Premium giveaway items may also be made available for each game, as applicable, at the Faculty & Staff Series check-in table while supplies last.

Disaster Ready - Earthquake Preparation, Response, & Recovery | March 17

This workshop will focus on what to do before, during, and after an earthquake to support personal and family safety. The course will include personal action-items participants can take home to secure furniture and wall hangings, plan for turning off gas and water utilities, creating a family emergency kit, and develop a family plan of communication and reunification. Participants will also learn what they may need to access resources from their local, state, and federal governments.
