NSF Grantsmanship Webinar: Biosketches & Evaluation | July 7

The National Science Foundation (NSF) is hosting a series of grantsmanship webinars from the HSI STEM HUB every Tuesday beginning May 12 through July 28th. Attend any individual webinar or the full series. Open to all who want to improve their grant writing techniques. 

The focus of the webinar on July 7th will be: "Biosketches & Evaluation." Learn how to craft a biosketch that best supports your proposal and program evaluation from Delia Valles and Martha Desmond of New Mexico State University. Registration is free at: https://hsistemhub.org/webinars/

Working Parents Mid-Morning Brown Bag | July 8

Join your fellow CSUN colleagues - who are also working on campus or remotely, parenting, and aspiring to be their child’s best and favorite teacher, for a casual conversation about the challenges, wins, and go to resources for making it through this new life chapter.

For those of you familiar with our “Working Mom’s Brown Bag” – this is an updated (inclusive, virtual, and timely) gathering intended to provide an opportunity to discuss how you’re balancing working, parenting, and self-care.  We’ll kick this initial session off with a general check-in of challenges and quick wins, and share ideas on summer virtual activities to engage your children.

Registration: 

  1. When ready, select the CSU Learn button below.
  2. Log into with your myNorthridge Portal credentials.
  3. Select the “Register” button.
  4. Click on the bullet next to the CSUN HR icon, and select “Submit” to enroll in this session.
  5. Upon successfully registering, you will receive a confirmation email with Zoom details and a password to join the session.

    If you require an accommodation to attend this program, please contact Human Resources at x5168 at least seven business days in advance of the program.

    Withdraw from Session: If you need to cancel your registration, select the “Self” icon in CSU Learn.  Select “Learning,” then “Registrations.”  Select the box next to the session you need to cancel, and select “Cancel Registration.”  In the next window, select “Confirm Cancellation.”
