Transitioning from Peer to Supervisor | December 6

One of the biggest challenges for some supervisors and managers is that of supervising those who were recently their colleagues or coming into a team as the new person. Navigating that changing relationship with former peers or establishing a new team dynamic can be quite difficult without guidance and support. Whether you are aspiring to become a supervisor or manager, a new supervisor or manager, or whether you have served in that role for some time, you will find this workshop helpful.

Attendees will explore how to:

  1. Start off on the right foot with a new boss or team;
  2. how to establish an open and positive work environment; and
  3. avoid the most common mistakes of a new supervisor.

MaNEx | Improving Team Interactions: Exploring the Instinctive Drives Tool | December 14

Before we can truly understand and take advantage of our strengths, we need to understand what drives and motivates us.  We need to know what we need to operate at our absolute best. Everyone has a way of doing things that works for them. The Instinctive Drives (I.D.) questionnaire reveals exactly what drives and motivates you, identifying what you need to be at your best in everything you do. Join us for a discussion of the I.D. tool and how you can use it to help yourself and advance your team's interactions.

This session will introduce the Instinctive Drives (I.D.) tool to help you learn:

  • What drives and motivates you
  • What you need to operate at your best
  • Helping teams to perform at their best
  • Increasing understanding of different working styles;
  • Sharing strategies to increase effective collaboration.

You’ll be asked to complete a 15-20 minute questionnaire prior to the session that will provide you with your I.D.
