Understanding and Responding to Campus Sexual Violence | October 10

As a member of the Matador community, it's on all of us to create and maintain a campus climate where sexual and interpersonal violence are not tolerated.  For many people, the idea of supporting someone who has endured sexual or dating/domestic violence is scary, often not because they don't want to be supportive, but because they are not sure what to say or how to respond. Whether a student or colleague has disclosed to you they they've been sexually assaulted, it is important to be prepared and aware of resources -- both on and off-campus - to support survivors.  This presentation will include skill-building components to help you feel more confident about helping survivors in a trauma-informed way as well as how to engage in university prevention efforts and strategies for bystander intervention.

Tuesday, October 10, 2017 - 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Location: Human Resources Training Room, Oviatt Library 16, Garden Level
