There are risks in all aspects of the campus environment. Internal controls are the business practices, policies or procedures that help to minimize risk. This session will provide you with a foundation of risk and internal controls by understanding how they impact our daily lives as well as our work on campus. By attending this session, you will: be able to more readily identify department business risks; learn the importance of internal controls in all of our jobs at CSUN; be better prepared for potential audits; and learn the "red flags" of fraud.
