May is Better Speech and Hearing Month

May is Better Speech and Hearing Month, and this year it will be celebrated with special gusto as the Language, Speech and Hearing Center begins a cautious but very happy reopening!

We have been working with the very helpful committees on campus to ensure that we can open safely, with the safety of the university and community in mind. Although we have been able to see many of our patients through telepractice, and will continue to do so, our audiologists and speech pathologists are excited to see patients who need to be seen in person in the clinic. This includes patients who need hearing aids or have hearing aids that need adjusting, and toddlers who will benefit from in-person early intervention to develop and be ready for preschool placement.

The Language, Speech and Hearing Center office is open from 9 am to 5pm Monday through Friday, for more information, contact us at LSHC@csun.edu or 818-677-2856.
