On Saturday, September 28, 2019, the Matador Involvement Center will be hosing the 2019 SHINE Leadership Conference, a mandatory leadership conference for leaders of student clubs and organizations; up to 400 students are expected to participate.

The Matador Involvement Center is currently looking for volunteers for 3 different roles.

The first two are Community Facilitator and Room Host, which are defined and can be selected through the following link: Community Facilitator & Room Host

The third is as a Networking partner; this role is specifically for individuals who were previous student leaders while in college and can attest to and share their story regarding the leadership development and learning that took place in contribution to their success today., these volunteers would sign-up directly with Nikiya McWilliams, MIC Coordinator, Clubs & Organizations via email: nikiya.mcwilliams@csun.edu

The SHINE Leadership Conference is a one-day collaborative conference for Matador Student Leaders with a purpose to assist current organizational leaders and potential leaders in recruiting new members, transitioning new leadership, organization stability, statewide & campus policy/procedures, civic responsibility, and leadership development. We hope to give all participants the tools they need to sustain a healthy student-run organization and gain a better understanding of how their leadership and service will benefit them in their life and career. Commit To Be Fit Is Back! | Mondays Thru Thursdays

Commit to Be Fit (CTBF) is a free fitness program for CSUN staff/faculty/students and community members. The program is led by CSUN Kinesiology students under the supervision of CSUN Kinesiology faculty.

The workouts consist of cutting edge and scientifically sound functional cardiovascular and resistance training aimed to get you in shape and help you FEEL YOUR BEST! CTBF is designed for all fitness levels and will expand your limits of strength, endurance, flexibility, balance, and cardiovascular health. Learn how to do activities in new ways—move more quickly, think faster, do what you never thought possible! Improved fitness improves your quality of life and makes your world bigger.

The program is offered four times per week during the fall and spring semesters and twice a week in the summer. In the fall and spring semesters, both semi-private* and group exercise options are available. In the summer, only the group option is offered.
