Understanding & Playing a Role in CSUN's Student Success Initiatives | April 4

Matador Faculty and Staff Appreciation Series - Baseball vs. Pepperdine | April 4

The Spring 2017 Faculty and Staff Series presents another thrilling installment in one of the designated home games at no cost to you and your guests. The Matador Baseball team will be sliding to base April 4th with the Matadors vs. Pepperdine University at our very own Matador Field.

Matador Bookstore Apple Sale! | April 13

The CSUN Campus Store is having a one-day only Apple sale on Thursday, April 13th. The CSUN Campus Store hours for that day are 7:00 am-7:30 pm.  Check out the details!

  • Is the sale only available to faculty and staff?

No, all current staff, faculty, as well as current and newly accepted students will be able to take advantage of the excellent deals on April 13th.

  • What is the discount you are offering for the Apple sale?

The CSUN Campus Store will be offering an 8% discount on current Mac and iPad products, and 4% discount on End-Of-Life (discontinued) Mac and iPad products ON TOP of the everyday, academic discount.

  • Are there products that will not qualify for the sale?

Yes, the following products are excluded from the sale: MacMini, iPad mini, and the new iPad 9.7” that was released on March 21. Please contact the CSUN Campus Store’s technology department for more details.

  • Can I reserve the device I want to purchase on April 13th?

Absolutely! Please contact the CSUN Campus Store’s technology department so they can assist you with your reservation.

  • Can I custom configure/special order my laptop/desktop and still get the April 13th discount, or is the special discount just on regular stock models?

You can definitely customize the configuration of your laptop/desktop. The CSUN Campus Store would take payment for your custom order on April 13th and you would get the additional 8% discount.

Earth Fair | April 13

Earth Fair is a one day event held on April 13th from 10am to 3pm. The event educates the CSUN community on local and global environmental issues through vendors, games and more. On and off campus vendors will encourage students to take steps toward a sustainable lifestyle. Earth fair aims to incorporate education, art, music, and sustainable initiatives to bring awareness to the community of CSUN. There will also be a Speaker Series held throughout the day in the USU.

College of Engineering & Computer Science Senior Design Project Showcase | April 14

Time: 1:00 TO 5:00PM

Location: Grand Salon

The College of Engineering and Computer Science presents senior design projects from all of the undergraduate programs in the college. The program includes oral presentations and demonstrations of their hard work coming to life. Be sure to come and support the students as they are judged by a distinguished panel of experts in the industry.  This is one of the many keystone programs on campus that will help you understand and appreciate the quality of a CSUN education, and the determination and caliber of our students.

Volunteer to Assist at the 2017 Commencement Ceremonies!

Assist guests and students at commencement by showing your CSUN spirit and say farewell to our class of 2017.

Volunteer roles include:

Way Finder/Greeter - Initial point of contact for guests to help navigate them to the venue
Diploma Cover Distributor - Provide students with diploma covers just prior to them walking on stage
Line Management - Guide the graduating students into their seats during the processional
Gate Supervisor - Back-up for ticket scanners who identify persons with invalid tickets and offer suggestions 

There will be a training for these roles on May 11 and 12 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm in the Thousand Oaks Room in the USU.

Annual Juried Art Student Exhibition | April 7 - 26

Graduate and undergraduate students in all media of the visual arts including animation, ceramics, drawing, and etc., will exhibit their work April 7 through 29. There will be an open reception with awards as well as a Gallery Talk for the public.

Matador Faculty and Staff Appreciation Series - Softball vs. Cal Poly Mustangs | April 23

As we conclude our Faculty and Staff Appreciation Series, join us to end this series with flare as the Women's Softball team takes on Cal Poly SLO's Mustangs. Be sure to take advantage of your free admission and eligibility to bring up to three guests. All taking place at the Matador Diamond!
