Emeritus Status (Administrative):

Vice Presidents, Associate and Assistant Vice Presidents, Deans and Directors may be eligible for nomination to Emeritus status if:

  1. They have served a minimum of ten years in a qualifying administrative position.

  2. They have retired through the university's retirement system.

Nominations to Emeritus status may be submitted at the time of the nominee's retirement and should include a summary of the contributions of the administrator. Nominations are forwarded through appropriate channels (Department and Vice President) to the Associate Vice President for Human Resources, who submits the completed nomination packet to the President. The President retains sole authority to grant Emeritus status.

Administrators Emeriti are eligible for a variety of rights and privileges related to campus events and services, including access to several university services and lifetime courtesy parking.
