Department of Health Sciences

About the Department

The Health Sciences (HSCI) Department is multidisciplinary. Our students learn the ways that various factors affect the health of individuals and communities. Our professional programs are founded in the liberal arts as well as the physical and behavioral sciences.

With over 1,200 students, we offer accredited degrees in Health Administration, Public Health, and Radiologic Sciences; and graduate-degree and certificate programs through the Tseng College.

Our department is committed to teaching, scholarship, and student-centered active learning. We value equity and diversity, and foster the encouragement of innovation and community alliances. Each undergraduate degree program provides curriculum on the basic knowledge and training required for professional careers in the field, and is also excellent preparation for a career in medicine, dentistry, nursing, and other health-related professional graduate degrees.
