Format
Each morning (9am-12pm), three speakers will present recent results in graph drawing, with an emphasis on open problems. In the afternoon (2pm-6pm), participants work on the proposed problems in small groups, and discuss any progress or solutions at the end of the day.

Students affiliated with CSUN can register (free of charge) by emailing any of the organizers. Similarly, anyone who would like to attend only one day of the workshop should register by email.
Travel to CSUN
The California State University, Northridge (CSUN) is located in the Northridge neighborhood of the city of Los Angeles, in the San Fernando Valley. The nearest airports are LAX (25 miles, recommended) and Burbank Bob Hope Airport (16 miles, for domestic travel).

Transportation options from LAX to hotels in the San Fernando Valley:
- The Los Angles International Airport (LAX) operates a convenient shuttle service to the Van Nuys FlyAway Terminal. The shuttle busses stop at each terminal at LAX under the green sign. The trip to Van Nuys takes 35-40 minutes, the fare ($8 one-way) is due upon arrival, payment is accepted by credit card only. From the Van Nuys Flyaway terminal, proceed to your hotel by taxi ($20-$25) or ride share (Lyft or Uber: $10).
- Shared door-to-door shuttle service from LAX to anywhere in Los Angeles (e.g., Northridge or Chatsworth) is available for $20 at Shuttle2LAX. Note that the shuttles usually drop several other passengers before arriving to your hotel.
- Ride sharing services (Uber, Lyft) currently cannot pick up passengers at LAX. This may change by September, 2015. Stay tuned.

Travel from CSUN to GD 2015
Note that the 23rd Symposium on Graph Drawing and Network Visualization (Sept 24-26) will be in Downtown Los Angeles. The distance between Northridge and Downtown is about 25 miles.
By car, the ride takes about 30-75 minutes depending on traffic; consult Waze for traffic conditions. With a ride sharing service (Uber or Lyft), this trip costs about $35-$40. With public transportation, it costs $1.75 and it takes about two hours (bus + Red Line); consult Google maps for schedules and trip planning.
