Now offering the dual Education Specialist Program in Mild/Moderate and Extensive Support Needs (MME)

March 8, 2022

We are excited to announce that, starting Fall 2022 we will be offering a new program!

The Education Specialist Program in Mild/Moderate and Extensive Support Needs (MME) is a dual credential program which culminates in an Education Specialist credential in two specializations: Mild/Moderate Support Needs and Extensive Support Needs.

What does this mean for you?

Candidates currently enrolled in either the Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe Education Specialist credential programs can remain in their programs and complete their credentials with no additional courses required. Candidates who are interested in our new program may be eligible to transition to this new Mild/Moderate and Extensive Support Needs (MME) credential program in Fall 2022.

Should I meet with an advisor right away?

If you have recently met with your advisor and already know that you will remain in your current program (or will transition to the MM/ESN credential), you must fill out the form and confirm your choice here. If you are unsure, the Department will be holding virtual information sessions, starting at the end of March. Please sign up for a session here
