Dr. Greg Jackson
Dr. Greg Jackson, Professor and Coordinator of the Career Counseling Program in the Department of Educational Psychology and Counseling in the Michael D. Eisner College of Education, passed away on July 12, 2013, after a brief illness. Dr. Jackson was on staff at the CSUN Career Counseling Center prior to his position as a full time faculty member in the EPC department since 1992. He entered the Faculty Early Retirement Program in 2011. His background included an Ed.D. earned in 1992 from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and credentials as a Nationally Certified Career Counselor since 1986, a Nationally Certified Counselor since 1984, and a Registered Professional Career Counselor since 1990. He was admired by colleagues as a national leader in his field who represented the best that CSUN has to offer. He cared about students and their welfare, he set high standards for those he mentored in an effort to help them meet their own career goals and dreams, and he supported many on and off the campus community through his focus on the study of positive psychology and the emphasis he put on expressing gratitude as a means to healthy living. His CSUN colleagues, students, and friends are grateful for his time with them, and will miss him very much.
