MMC Creative Cooking and Wellness Series - Making Better Choices When Eating Outside of the Home

Description:

We will be discussing doing research before going out to eat – online menu and nutrition; understanding the menu – paying attention to words used: “breaded” “smothered” “crispy”; asking for substitutions – dressing on side, no cheese, etc.; portion control – listen to when body tells you; if full; take home leftovers; ok to leave food on plate; and Cooking Demo – making restaurant foods at home and easy Lunches/Dinners that can replace your favorite restaurant meal.
