Facilitated By: Anne Glavin, Chief of Police, and Kristina de la Vega, Vice President, Human Resources
With the rise in occurrence and increased publicity of school shootings on college campuses around the United States, at CSUN we have seen an increase in the number of faculty, staff and students who have raised concerns about their own safety and/or the safety of others.
Part II of the workshop will deal with the worst case scenario of an active shooter situation on campus. A dynamic video will be shown and discussion will follow to explain the survival mindset necessary in that situation as well as realistic strategies for dealing with it. There will also be an explanation of what to expect regarding emergency response by CSUN Police.
This workshop series will provide you with:
- An understanding of how to react in different scenarios; and
- What to expect regarding emergency response by CSUN Police.
