The Friends of the Oviatt Library invite you to join us for a buffet luncheon and Presentation by Lane Ryo Hirabayashi. Lane Hirabayashi will revisit the events that led to FDR's signing Executive Order 9066 seventy-five years ago. Given recent developments it is crucial to ask whether registries, raids, detention, bans on immigrants from specific countries, etc., today are similar to actions carried out in the past. If so, can we draw from history to avoid the excesses of the past? Books will be available for purchase and signing.
Reservations are required, event is $20.00 per person and includes a buffet luncheon.
Fill out the Reservation Form (.pdf) and mail in check to reserve your space.
